Peach Whiskey Sour
I have been exploring a lot with mixology these days. The pandemic has shed light on a lot of our forgotten skills… well, making drinks hasn’t ever really felt like one of mine LOL! Though, a little practice and genuine interest has proven to go a long way. Whiskey sours used to be one of my favorite drinks when I was younger, and hence was a delight to veganize and enjoy! You will see that this recipe calls for peanut butter whiskey. I REALLY like how lovely the peanut butter notes go with the fruitiness of this drink, but feel free to use regular whiskey too! Tag me @thepresumptuouspepita if you make this! I hope you love it!
Makes 2 servings
4 ounces peanut butter Whiskey (you can totally use regular whiskey)
2 ounces peach simply syrup (or just maple syrup)
2 ounces lemon juice
2 tsp aquafaba (fluffed)
Whisk aquafaba in a small bowl until peeks form.
place the other ingredients into the bowl and stir with ice until thoroughly mixed and the drink is nice and cold
strain into a cup and garnish with a peach slice and a cherry
ENJOY!
To make the peach simple syrup use:
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of water
3/4 cup of sliced peaches
boil all ingredients
let sit 45 minutes
cool and strain into a small mason jar being sure to press down in the peaches to get as much sugary sweet juice out as possible.
be sure to use those peaches for ice cream, pop tarts, or a sweet smoothie
